Faux Copper embossed album- (Giveaway)

I can't believe that we are already on week 5 of Everyday Creative on My Craft Channel. These segments have been so much fun to share with you all. I am so grateful to be able to share some of my crafty ideas.

This week I am sharing an inexpensive way to create a beautiful mini album. This technique can be used in a variety of crafting from altered decor to scrapbooking... the choice is yours!

Make sure to watch the video to see how I took a dollar store item and made this fun mini album... YES I said dollar store crafting (made chic!). The base of this album only cost me 50 cents since this came in a set of two for one dollar! :)

Watch the video HERE. (Thanks for letting me know Mary and Lynn!)

  6. BEAUTIFUL ! I love copper and it would be great to incorporate this into my scrapping and crafts, especially with Fall just around the corner. I seem to have my own mini-dollar store in my craft room closet :-O so I plan to start there with my next projects !

  12. Oh, I LOVE how you used a cheap aluminum baking pan for your base!! I've bought thin metal sheets at the craft store when I see them and they are expensive and few and far between. I just never even thought about this dollar store substitution! Would be able to use this on journals, card fronts, and for handmade embellishments. Thanks so much for the amazing video!

  20. This is so great! Love the dollar store--will definitely be doing this technique! I think because it is so inexpensive, I could make one for Fall family activities, and I think 1 for Halloween. Maybe with different metallic colors, would be a great Christmas album! Can't wait to try!

  21. Wow! I thot it was way too much trouble til I saw the end results! Very impressive, it would make a great heritage album! The Dollar Store is such a resource AND a throwback to before 'specifically crafts' stores.

  22. I like the way you used the decoupage medium to help adhere the pigment to the aluminum. I do art quilts and could "rust" some charms or other items to adhere to my quilts without the worry of using real rust!

I've just started exploring the Dollar Store for Craft finds and just today bought some baskets that are just begging to be altered!

I LOVE the dollar store - I visit their craft section every time I go there and I buy their flowers too. I use all kinds of goodies from there for my crafts and cards, but I have never thought to check out the baking aisle :) Love that idea! Thanks for the chance to win these goodies!
