Birthday Giveaway!!!!

So today was my birthday and although I turned 31 ( you have to admit 31 is not one of those years that you expect to be big) you would have thought it was momentous occasion considering the day I had.

It started with the sweet chorus of my family singing Happy Birthday CHA CHA CHA to me. The more CHA's the better!

I was only suppose to work for three hours today, but as any job goes the hours were just not enough so James offered to take off early and pick up the kids so I could finish up. Although I didn't leave there till after 5:30, I was so blessed to have that time to catch up. What a great feeling knowing that monday I can start fresh and not feel the burden of lingering items.

The creme de la creme was my cupcake celebration!

Here are some shots of the sweet cupcake bash that Tattered Angels threw for me.

I had to run and grab my camera for this nice little shot.

Wendy took this pic of me blowing out the candle.

And of course digging into my cupcake.
Me and Michelle trading frostings, we had the most amazing cupcakes!
And the after math leftovers. We had chocolate with butter creme frosting, vanilla with chocolate fudge frosting and my favorite red velvet with cream cheese frosting!

After all of this I came home to a warm house with my kids screaming for me. It's doesn't get any better :)

So of course in honorary tradition... There must be a birthday giveaway!

I am thinking that I am going to dig into my Prima stash and find a nice little assortment of product to give ( I still have a TON of Winter CHA 2009 product that I have yet to open!) also some great adhesive from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L and also your choice of 3 bottles of Glimmer Mist.

So here is the deal:

Post a comment to this blog post about what you have liked about my blog and what you would like to see in my blogs future. I am swirling with ideas on directions to take my blog and would love to hear feedback from all of you. Also with 31 being one of those non descript years, I really want to make this year count and what better way than to do so with my friends along side with me!

I will then pick a winner on Monday randomly from all of those who post a remark to this thread. If you post more than once it is ok, I am looking for ideas so the more the merrier!

Thank you all for your continual support and friendship and here is to making 31 COUNT!

  1. Well I am glad you had just a great birthday even though you had to work all day. I've always enjoyed all the photos you post. Some Tattered Angels how-to posts would be a fun. Demonstrate different ways of using the product to create gift tags or layout backgrounds. Enjoy the rest of your birthday & have a great weekend! :)

  4. Happy Birthday, Liz! These cupcake photos are making me hungry . . . I LOOOOOOOOOOVE cupcakes! My favorite thing about your past blog posts (and something I would love to see more of) are the posts where you share a layout and give all the details on what you did and all the cool techniques you used. I hope all is going well in your new home!!

  5. Happy Birthday again, Liz! I really mean it when I say that I hope you and I can meet someday!

What do I love about your blog? EVERYTHING! I love the fact you keep me up to date in the world of scrapbooking, you keep me up to speed on CHA happenings (being in alberta, while it is the only place I'd ever live, I have a hard time finding the money to travel to the US for events like CHA). You keep me posted on new happenings with Tattered Angels, as well as new products from other lines, like Funky Pickle (one fave of mine) and Tim Holtz.
You give me SO MUCH inspiration to just go out there and SCRAP. I'm personally not too much into cardmaking or other paper crafts (yet), but my OCD on having to scrapbook everysinglepicture is slowly dissipating after having watched your ideas.
One thing I would have to say I would LOVE to see on your blog is more recipes for the layouts you do, as well as step by step recipes on using Tattered Angels (specifically screens and stamps). The reason I say that is, is after having watched your youtube videos, I am inspired, but then sit down and go, "where do I start again?" and would like some starting points if you will, as to where to start and where to go. More of a road map almost, that I can use and manipulate how I see fit for my project.
Sorry to hear you had to work all day, but I sure hope you had a FANTASTIC birthday!!!

This is gonna be the only time in your life that your gonna be 31, you have no knowledge of what the future may bring. So get out there and celebrate each and every moment of every day. Make each day the very best it can be........

Sharing your spirit and joy of life, and your talents with those of us that pop into your blog is great so keep up the good work.
