Everyday Creative- Resin Art Jewelry

So today is the big day...The FIRST episode of My Craft Channel show- Everyday Creative with Liz Hicks airs today! Today we are walking through the basics of Ice Resin and creating a simple mixed media bracelet. This is a wonderful intro to Ice Resin if you are just getting started with Resin Art.

I was fortunate enough to be able to sit in on my friend Jen Cushman's Ice Resin class this last December at Seaside Soiree (a wonderful mixed media art retreat). We were both teaching and were able to take each others classes, which almost never happens for instructors. In this class Jen shared her love for Ice Resin and from there I was hooked... I have not stopped playing with it since!

The wonderful team at Ice Resin (Susan Lenart Kazmer) have offered up this AMAZING prize to go along with this first episode of My Craft Channel show. This prize has a Retail value of $25.

To Win, simply leave a comment  here on my blog and let us know anything else you think Ice Resin would be fun to create with. Please leave a comment here on the blog by August 20th (Monday) at midnight MST and I will announce the winner the next day when we feature the next My Channel Video episode.

For more information on Ice Resin, make sure to check out their blog and their creative team. These are seriously some of the most creative artists and jewelry makers out there!

Thanks again for your support :) My heart is full with all of the wonderful love and support my friends have shared. I was a wee bit nervous (especially with this first episode) So to have so many wonderful comments, emails and facebook remarks has been a joy. Thank you!

Thanks again,

Liz Hicks ♥

  2. I am hooked!! Pam the owner of Strawberryfields Scrapbook Shop introduced me to Ice Resin and I am crazy for it! My favorite thing today is to play with it on paper. Just love how it makes the paper transparent. You can use them alone or with other pieces! Can't wait to see your next show, Liz. I am very excited for you!

  27. Hi Liz -

Loved the episode on mycraftchannel.com. I am formally a jewelry maker and my friends loved my designs; however, I've grown stale with just beads and chain. This has inspired me to make a few more gifts, but I'm going to have to find stuff online since my local stores don't carry the resin. Won't my friends be surprised when they see my new jewelry techniques?! Thanks again for the inspiration.

  30. Was excited last week when I saw the intro for your new show. I've never heard of Ice Resin, I love that it gets rid of the bubbles. I've used regular resin once or twice before & there were always bubbles. Looking forward to seeing the 2nd part of this show in how you color it. I would love to see what else you could use it with things you have at home like maybe an ice cube tray or a cookie cutter or make a mold out of from things at home & how it releases. I'm crossing my fingies that I win, because I would love to try it!!! Thanks for the chance to win!

  33. This is the first time I've heard of ice resin. And it seems amazing! I'm a paper crafter so I haven't delved into jewelry making, but loved your bracelets. I love how you can completely customize any piece. I find myself wondering if ice resin would be safe to use over pictures? Maybe in a locket, over a picture to really seal it and make it shiny? Can't wait for the next episode! =)

    1. Either way is fine. I usually add a little more info here on my blog, and follow up with a few other project ideas... In the future the videos will not be embedded here, so you will have to go to the My Craft Channel site to see the videos. If you could stop by both, I would greatly appreciate it!
