Autism Podcast over at the Paperlife...

I am so grateful to have been asked by my new friend Amy Coon over at The Paper Life to be her guest on her weekly podcast show. Both of our boys are on the Autism Spectrum and what a treasure it was for us to talk and get to know each others families. It was as if we had known each other for a lot longer than just a few days! With the launch of Tattered Angels Glimmer of Hope Campaign and the new Piece of Heart Glimmer Mist, Amy asked me to talk about my passion for raising interest in Autism Awareness.

I do hope you will take the time to check out Amy's site and listen to our podcast. The Paperlife is also giving away 9 bottles of Piece of Heart Glimmer Mist on their site, so hop on over and leave a comment for a chance to win!

Thank you again for your love and support this month. spreading the word, sharing your story or even being a helping heart to those who are living with an Autistic child... every little piece helps and we can ALL do so together!

XOXO,

~Liz

  1. Hi Liz! Just wanted to say Thank you for raising awareness for Autism throughout the scrapbooking world! I think it's something that a lot of us moms and crafters can share our experiences with. Happy autism awareness month! You officially ROCK in my book!

  2. Hi Liz! I didn't know that you had a son Autism when we met at CHA. We have adopted three kids with special needs and one of them has a dual diagnosis of ASD and Bipoar so this is very important to me. I appreciate what you are doing - Tatteredd Angels is so popular (I have a ton!lol!) what a perfect oppertunity to bring awarness to others! Thanks for doing this! ((hugs))

  3. Hi, I am a retired former asst. supv. of foster care for the State of TN and carried the maximum amount of special needs children I was allowed to carry due to being an asst. supv. I had a lot of autistic children as well as children who would never be mentally/emotionally developed past 2 1/2 months old mostly due to severe abuse and worked with some severely emotionally disturbed children..There are some wonderful people who adopt these children and love them just like they were their children even though these children require 20 plus times more services, care, patience. I am so grateful for you, Amy and all the wonderful people who are raising the awareness and other special needs so that people will have access to support groups, help, educational materials etc which is tremendous. Thank you so much for caring enough and having the courage to bringe these medical/emotional/physical problems our children have and that there is nothing to be ashamed of and they are not alone.
