Ok, so that was out of no where! I was in our bedroom and the world just started to shake, underneath my feet. I grabbed the kids, sat in our hallway and waited through a 5.8 earthquake. Not so funny thing is that it was epicentered in Chino Hills which is headquarters for Prima. I called and everyone was fine, Donna said it felt like a car had hit the building. The warehouse had some movement, but nobody was hurt.
Well, we have to expect it in Ca. I am just glad I was with my kids to explain it to them. I tried my hardest to remain calm, and I guess it worked because they were not scared one bit. Jackson even started to ask about earthquakes, what makes them, how do they work, yadda yadda... typical Jackson.
BTW, stop drop and roll, is exactly what I did, although they are instructions for if you were on fire, you kinda have no choice but to roll when you are in an earthquake, right?
So again, I will try and post some more pics of Prima stuff, after the vendor faire, I am so excited!!! I really think that we can raise enough $$$ to get Aaron his dog!

OK,
So my posts for CHA have not gone as planned. I taught VBS the day after I came home ( I know, crazy me!) and after it was all done on Friday, well I was beat! I have been resting and finally feel a bit like normal, so I will get back to business asap!
This Wednesday is the Southern Ca. Vendor Faire, this is the first time I believe the retailers have done this so I am not exactly sure what to expect. I received a call last week from one of the retailers I work with to set up the charity event for the vendor faire. So, I will be there this week, and we have been working hard getting this going. As you all know Autism weighs big on my heart, and when I told my LSS the story of Aaron, she felt just as passionate to help. I believe that Autism is a reality for many and a fear for the rest, hearing that your child has something that you may not be able to protect them from, is the scariest thing a parent could ever face. You live your life as a parent planning how you will protect them, and when you are faced with an unknown adversary, it throws your whole sense of security off. That is why we do this, to give Aaron's family some sense of security that they may not have known before.
So if you haven't yet, check out Aaron's blog to read more of his story.
So again, forgive me for my scattered posts, on top of all this, my husband is painting the inside of our house, so I never know where my computer will end up! I have not forgotten to post my brilliante blog post either for those of you who nominated me, I have been methodically thinking about who to choose!!!

Flowers and lace, Prima CHA summer 2008 post 2
New lace and glitter ribbon
I love the new lace and of course the glitter ribbon!!!
The glitter ribbon is similar in texture and if it were a rough velvet, it is very shiny and has the threading of a velvet. The new laces are intricately designed both on the front and on the back, especially nice for clear projects! These will be available by the spool @ your LSS.
Lollipops, Paradise Pedals, and Summer Singles and Flower Frillies
(ahem.. glimmer mist? LOL!).
Bali Batiks, Cabana, Flower Power and Whispers
Bali Batiks are a gorgeous paper lace flowers that give your LO a delicate feel. Whispers are organza flowers that have a matte flocked flower on them giving you a gorgeous translucent flower. Cabana flowers are amazing for layering, they come with a brad and you can pic and choose what bloom to add, building your own custom flower, shape...size ...and color!
So much new stuff, I can barely post enough of it in one post, but good old blogger reminds me by stopping me every time I want to post more pics in one thread!!! Also, on the bottom pic in the bottom left hand corner you can see my Lo of sweet Sedona using makes me happy PP. After I am done posting pics of the booth, I will post my projects from CHA.
hope you love the new flowers as much as I do!!!

Home from CHA...
Ok, I am beat! It was a great show!!! I was absolutely impressed with how the show went this season. The Prima booth was great, and the product ROCKS! I will have pics up tomorrow of the booth, but for now I wanted to just post a little happy moment of mine!
Last night me, Trish and Michelle (the Fire and Ice girls) were in our room trying to scope out some CHA comments on various message boards. We came across a link to a 2 peas thread that included pics from CHA and one of my projects was in there!!!
here is the link to the thread and here is the link to my project, it is the 6x12 build a book clear album that is titled Fashionista.
How cool is that!
I had an amazing time, met amazing people and was able to justlify the entire fiasco that lead up to my leaving!!! Although I still have a mountain on scrap supplies to clean up... I wouldn't change it for the world!

Last minute scrapbook oopsies
Well I am scrapping like a mad woman trying to get my last minute projects done for CHA and I have had one laugh after another of scrapbook oopsies.
1) My sweet and as you all know artistic daughter decided to enjoy a pack of my crystals and rub-ons on her PILLOW! Luckily this was older product so no worries about the new stuff!! It was safe up high!
2) I went to pick up my pics @ Costco and I accidentally ordered them glossy instead of lustre, ARGH! I really wish that Costco would us lustre as their default, it never fails I always have to go back and change it!
3) Lost (and later found) a pack of Say it in Studs, and the are the cutest little animals, well I finally got them on a layout, and LOVE it!!!
Did I mention that My daughter also got into my glue dots??? yup, there were a few casualties, but not an all together wash.
So I laugh, because I thank God that it could soooooo be worse than glue dots and lost and found. The kids made it to my parents house nice and safe, they were so happy to go ( I don't take offense on bit!) and James has been helping me get this place ready for my absence. I love him!
So good night!!! and I pray that there are no more oopsies for me or for you!

Pudding...
And White sheets should never get married!

Well, this is the result of my daughter, the chocoholic, a cup of pudding and her need to watch Nemo in my room. The pudding was not originally invited, but I guess it made a guest appearance in the last half of the movie. A girl needs a little mid movie snack, doesn't she? And well obviously she is my daughter since she did her own little abstract interpritation of ART, on my duvet and carpets!!!
She likes to leave little reminders of art around the house just for me, I know I am so lucky to have such an artistic daughter (if you could only hear the sarcasm in my head right now!)
Here is to art, wherever in your house it may reside!!!

An unexpected pick me up!
Yesterday, my husband handed me a bright blue envelope, sent with love from South Africa. It was from my bud Kim, and inside was this beautiful card, with some very thoughtful words.
A few days ago, I received a blog post from Erica, and she had dedicated one of her blog posts to me! She had done some projects using the Dude line from Prima. She has a sweet little boy named Mitchell, and well the Dude line works perfectly for him!!!
Yesterday I received a blog post from Christina, and she nominated as one of her favorite blogs, I was so touched.
It moves me to think that even though I have the hardest time balancing life, my buds still think of me and encourage me. It just reminds me of how and why I started to scrap.
So although this week has been a true challenge in my life, thank you for sending me these little pick me ups, that I so needed!
XOXO

Ghost town...
I know, I was on a roll with my blogging, and BAM! nothing posted...
I have been up to my ears in scrapping, but nothing I can share since it is for CHA. Humph! Just know that I still think of funny things to blog about, but just haven't had a moments rest!!!
I will try and see if I can post some stuff soon, but until then thanks for your patience!!!

Who ME????
Guess who is the featured designer over at Fire and Ice?
It's ME!
Yup. little ol' me and I had to type it up myself! The girls asked if I could do it a few weeks ago, and I had been working on two projects for some stores, and well who am I to pass up a couple of minutes in the the hot spot? Read all about it here!
I LOVE this album, it came out great considering I just finished it in the nick of time!
thanks for all the rooting you do for me!
I don't have a whole lot of friends around that have time to scrap, so it is nice to have you all to turn to!
