Happy Burkey to you!

Yup, I know it says burkey and this is why...

the kids decided to sing "Happy Turkey to you..." (to the tune of Happy Birthday) To my parents but the words confused them. So it came out Happpy Burkey. Now they think it is funny to say Happy Burkey and have sang it all morning.

So Happy Burkey to You and You and You!!!!!

I hope you all have a great time with your families ( Sam your furry ones too!) And be safe! Oh and try and scrap this weekend. there has to be some calories burned by scrapping!

If you haven't gone over to Ali's (Davis) blog site recently , check it out. She posted an awesome sketch. try it out...I am hoping to soon!

let me know what you guys come up with this weekend, you know how I love too see some triptophan induced creativity!

Eat and be happy!

It was all an accident

Today I realized I am 100% a scrapbooker. As the final stages of my scrap area are completed (ok, no drooling but the final Sq. foot count is 400 SF of scrap space! plus laundry and kiddie play but who's counting) I found myself thinking back on how this all started. I would have to give 100% of the credit to my new found depth of passion to the CKMB. Before I went on there I enjoyed scrapping and getting to do it with my friends but I would not have known the depth of joy that scrapbooking now gives me with out the CKMB. It seems so accidental but I know that it was God appointed. For me to meet each of you and for me to be given the opportunities that I now have, I am so blessed. I cannot see my life any different and I really feel that this is where I am supposed to be in life. I am pleased and overjoyed!

thank you again!

We are in the first steps of the process, but it is looking like I will be scrapping with in the next few weeks in my new space. We are converting the garage into an extended living space where the kids can play and I can scrap! So sorry if I have been a bit of a bum...I have a good reason!

BTW, keep an eye out because I am going to have to unload on a lot of my stock, so who better that my scrap pals to give it too?

ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz..........

So this is what it is like to sleep in?!?!?!?! I feel alseep last night watching Flip that House. Normally I love watching TV with James but I was so beat from the day (did I mention that I crashed a baby shower?-Sorry, Cathy and Karen!) tha I jsut fell asleep on James' lap. Yesterday Me and leslie went to the scrap swapmeet, target and then to Karens baby shower. I had to tag along becasue we didn't have time to go back to my house, and Leslie didn't want to drive. After that I came home, hung out with James for a while watching football. Then we went to dinner and did Christmas shopping. too much money later.... I was pooped and ready for bed.

BTW, I know who the winner is!!! I am getting the prize pack together, as promised I will announce the winner on Monday. OK, I am off to church.

Anyone want to do another weekly challenge?

I think we should, I will think of sonething and get back to you all!

Party over here!

My package from ~kim~

the motherload that was inside of kim's package

My birthday/christmas present from Holli and Leslie

Well today is my birthday and it has been a really good one so far. Last night James took the kids to dollar tree to shop for me. He wanted to see just what they would be drawn to, and what they would think I would like. So I ended up with Two purses and a sock. Well the first gift was from Sedona, I closed my eyes and held out my hands and as she giggled in glee I looked down and saw a barbie style plastic purse (did I mention that all she likes right now is barbie?). Second was Jackson. I closed my eyes and held out my hands and when I opened them I found in my hand a glittery gold tapestry make up bag with a fur trim. (yup, mama loves glittery furry blingy things) Last was Sawyer. I closed my eyes and held out my hands and when I opened them I bursted out laughing (I could here him giggling as he put it in my hands). It was a Sock. Just one Go, Diego, Go! Sock that he had worn earlier. He thought it was so funny that he had tricked me. I was so impressed that my little 3 year old had thought of tricking me! I could have cried tears of joy just to see him think out of the norm ( which is not his forte). Just another little glimpse from God of Sawyer breaking out of his PDD label! The last present was some Ms. elizabeth Scrap paper that Jackson had eyeballed and thought, "Hmmm... maybe we should get mommy some scrapbooking stuff". Good boy, although the patterns were picked out by a 5 year old, I think I can use them for cards.

Today James took both boys to school and brought me home coffee. Doesn't get much better than this!

So to celebrate I want to have a contest to share my over abundant stash with you all.

post a comment on this topic thread for one entry. post a link to your most recent project for another entry. post as many as you like. I will pick a winner randomly and showcase your project on monday. all posts done by friday will qualify. I will take saturday and sunday to get the prize together and post the winner on monday.

PS, make sure to mention what style you scrap, what your favorite brand is and what you currently are working on. Any questions.... post them here.

thanks for playing!

Cheesy candy grins @ yaya and Papa's house.

Are you a Good Witch?

or a bad witch? Yes, this was a little Wicked inspired, but more on the colorful side. truly I wouldn't have thought of being a witch for holloween if I hadn't seen the show. Every year as we choose our characters for the season I always try to think of something that will be fun to wear but most of all fun to make. I love making costumes! I would do it for a theater group, but I am so not patient enough when it comes to material! Half the time our costumes are pieced together anyways!

So here are a few pics that James took of me and that I took of the kids.

thanks!

Joy to the world~

I saw Noel do this really cool JOY spelled out with Torrie and Emma, I couldn't resist this pic when I saw the girls curled up together. I manipulated the y a bit but the rest is just good models!

it is a far stretch but I needed to practice before I tried it with my kids~
